| Albania Marathon of Folk Songs, a tour in Albania The most well-known artists of folk music will be the protagonists of the fifth edition of Folk Songs Marathon. This year too this activity is organized by Pandi Laço, Bledi Laço and Adi Hila and is presented by the charming Anjeza Maja. As predicted, “Folk Songs” has started a long music tour along the Albanian coast, starting from Elbasan and continuing with other cities, such as: Gjirokastra, Saranda, etc. According to one of the organizers Bledi Laço “This year part of this tour will also be small cities like Patosi, Delvina, etc., thus giving them the chance to enjoy music of great values”. 25 singers participating in the marathon are: Eli Fara, Selami Kolonja, Maja, Irini Qirjako, Silva Gunbardhi, Ylli Baka, Rozana Radi , etc. In this edition, just like in the former ones, the organizers will aim towards pan Albanian dimensions, by coordinating also with artists outside Albania, such as Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro. Durres Festival bar Albania The program of “Festival Bar Albania” offers: 10:00a.m-5:00p.m, sea aerobics for all ages, kids games, dancing lessons in the stage by the sea with Albanian traditional music, karaoke, and horse riding, scuba diving, fishing, etc. While in the evening, from 7:00p.m - 00:00p.m, there will be other artistic activities. On July 22nd it is time for new talents of the albanian music to perform together with professional artists. A championship of humor pieces conducted by Koço Devole is the show that will follow. All these activities are held in the stages placed at “Hëna Resort” in Golem. The presenters of this activity are Gjergj Leka and Nigela Ruka, Koço Devole and Bujar Kapexhiu. July 23rd will be filled with music. For 16 hours on row the best Albanian D. J.swill offer music by the sea. While on stage you will find albanian folk dances. Part of this program is also the arm wrestling championship. July 24th will bring the show “Bride and Prejudice”, which is a musical comedy with ballet, songs and humor. A catwalk will follow. July 25th will be dedicated to the Albanian traditional music. All these activities are held in the stages placed at “Hëna Resort” in Golem. |
Shkoder Concert of the Academy of Arts quintet, Tirana Grand Hotel “Europa” The Academy of Arts quintet – Tirana in cooperation with the cultural – artistic association “Prenkë Jakova” - Shkodra, in the framework of room music and evaluation of art figures and culture of Shkodra, are preparing a common activity. Korce “The International Symposium of Park Sculptures” 5 sculptors “Rinia” Park The city of Korça, where tradition of works of art find its best feature, will become once more the welcoming city of sculptors of the country, the region and further more. During 2008-2009, the City Hall has welcomed 16 artists in this Symposium who have donated 16 works of contemporaneous art in stone. While on this edition 5 sculptors are expected to participate. These works can be visited by the citizens and foreign visitors. Date. 25 June-5 July |
